17But we, brothers and sisters, being separated from you for a short time—in person, not in heart—made every effort, with great longing, to see you face to face.
6But now Timothy has come to us from you and has brought us good news about your faith and love, and that you always have good remembrance of us, longing to see us, just as we also long to see you.
19I urge you all the more earnestly to do this so that I may be restored to you more quickly.
5For even though I am absent in the body, I am present with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your orderly conduct and the firmness of your faith in Christ.
6Perhaps I will stay with you or even spend the winter, so that you may help me on my journey wherever I go.
7For I do not want to see you now just in passing; I hope to spend some time with you, if the Lord permits.

12So with yourselves, since you are eager for spiritual gifts, seek to excel in building up the church.
