2 Aaron said to them, "Take off the gold earrings that are on the ears of your wives, your sons, and your daughters, and bring them to me."
3 So all the people took off the gold earrings that were in their ears and brought them to Aaron.
4 He took the gold from their hands, fashioned it with a tool, and made it into a molten calf. Then they said, "These are your gods, Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt."
5 When Aaron saw this, he built an altar in front of it and proclaimed, "Tomorrow there will be a festival to the LORD."
7 Moses then said to Aaron, 'Come to the altar and offer your sin offering and your burnt offering, making atonement for yourself and for the people. Present the people’s offering and make atonement for them as the LORD has commanded.'

9 The LORD also said to Moses, "I have seen these people, and behold, they are a stiff-necked people."
11 But Moses sought the favor of the LORD his God and said, "LORD, why does your anger burn against your people, whom you brought out of Egypt with great power and a mighty hand?"
12 Why should the Egyptians say, 'He brought them out with evil intent, to kill them in the mountains and to wipe them off the face of the earth'? Turn from your burning anger and relent concerning this disaster against your people.
19 But Aaron replied to Moses, 'Behold, today they presented their sin offering and their burnt offering before the LORD, and such things as these have happened to me. Would it have been pleasing to the LORD if I had eaten the sin offering today?'
22 Moses returned to the Lord and said, "Lord, why have you brought trouble on this people? Why did you send me?"
20 The LORD was very angry with Aaron, and he was ready to destroy him. But I prayed for Aaron at that time as well.
21 Then I took the sinful thing you had made—the calf—and burned it in the fire. I crushed it, grinding it into fine dust, and threw the dust into the stream that flows down from the mountain.
11 Therefore, it is against the Lord that you and all your followers have gathered. Who is Aaron that you should grumble against him?"
11 So Moses said to the LORD, 'Why have You brought trouble on Your servant? Why have I not found favor in Your sight, that You lay the burden of all these people on me?
18 Even when they made a molten calf for themselves and said, 'This is your god who brought you out of Egypt,' and they committed terrible blasphemies,
16 Then Moses inquired diligently about the goat of the sin offering and discovered it had been burned up. He was angry with Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron's remaining sons, and said,
40 They said to Aaron, 'Make us gods who will lead us, for we do not know what has happened to this Moses, who brought us out of the land of Egypt.'
7 The people came to Moses and said, 'We have sinned, for we spoke against the LORD and against you. Pray to the LORD to take the serpents away from us.' So Moses prayed for the people.
28 Then Moses told Aaron everything the LORD had said to him and all the signs He had commanded him to perform.
3 Then Moses said to Aaron, 'This is what the LORD has said: I will be shown as holy to those who draw near me, and I will be honored in the sight of all the people.' And Aaron remained silent.
4 Then Moses cried out to the LORD, saying, "What should I do with these people? They are almost ready to stone me!"

5 Then Moses and Aaron fell facedown before the entire assembly of the Israelite community.
12 Then the LORD said to me, 'Go down immediately, for your people, whom you brought out of Egypt, have corrupted themselves. They have quickly turned aside from the way I commanded them; they have made a molten image for themselves.'
