Then all Israel stoned him, and after they had stoned the rest, they burned them with fire. 26 They raised over him a great heap of stones, which remains to this day. Then the Lord turned from His fierce anger. Therefore, that place has been called the Valley of Achor to this day.

    1 When the people saw that Moses delayed in coming down from the mountain, they gathered around Aaron and said to him, "Get up, make for us gods who will go before us, because this Moses, the man who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has happened to him."

    2 Aaron said to them, "Take off the gold earrings that are on the ears of your wives, your sons, and your daughters, and bring them to me."

    3 So all the people took off the gold earrings that were in their ears and brought them to Aaron.

    4 He took the gold from their hands, fashioned it with a tool, and made it into a molten calf. Then they said, "These are your gods, Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt."

    5 When Aaron saw this, he built an altar in front of it and proclaimed, "Tomorrow there will be a festival to the LORD."

    7 Then the LORD said to Moses, "Go down, because your people, whom you brought up out of Egypt, have corrupted themselves."

    8 They have turned aside quickly from the way I commanded them. They have made for themselves a molten calf, bowed down to it, sacrificed to it, and said, 'These are your gods, Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt.'

    9 The LORD also said to Moses, "I have seen these people, and behold, they are a stiff-necked people."

    12 Why should the Egyptians say, 'He brought them out with evil intent, to kill them in the mountains and to wipe them off the face of the earth'? Turn from your burning anger and relent concerning this disaster against your people.

  • 3 Then Moses said to Aaron, 'This is what the LORD has said: I will be shown as holy to those who draw near me, and I will be honored in the sight of all the people.' And Aaron remained silent.

  • 9 Then Moses said to Aaron, "Tell the entire assembly of the Israelites, 'Come before the LORD, for He has heard your complaints.'"

  • 24 So Moses spoke this to Aaron, his sons, and all the Israelites.

  • 14 Then the LORD's anger burned against Moses, and He said, 'What about your brother, Aaron the Levite? I know he can speak well. Even now he is on his way to meet you, and he will be glad to see you.'

  • 16 Pharaoh quickly summoned Moses and Aaron and said, "I have sinned against the LORD your God and against you.

  • 2 He said to Aaron, 'Take a young calf for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering, both without blemish, and present them before the LORD.'

  • 5 Then Moses and Aaron fell facedown before the entire assembly of the Israelite community.

  • 12 Then the LORD said to me, 'Go down immediately, for your people, whom you brought out of Egypt, have corrupted themselves. They have quickly turned aside from the way I commanded them; they have made a molten image for themselves.'

  • 30 Aaron spoke all the words that the LORD had spoken to Moses, and he performed the signs in the sight of the people.
