40But if they confess their iniquity and the iniquity of their ancestors—their unfaithfulness with which they were unfaithful to me, and also how they walked contrary to me—
41so that I also walked contrary to them and brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts are humbled, and they accept their punishment for their iniquity,
17Because of their sinful greed, I was angry; I struck them and turned away in anger, yet they continued in their willful ways.
4Then they will cry out to the LORD, but He will not answer them. He will hide His face from them at that time because of the evil they have done.
23They will no longer defile themselves with their idols, their vile images, or any of their transgressions. I will save them from all the places where they have sinned, and I will purify them. They will be My people, and I will be their God.
31So I have poured out my indignation upon them, consumed them with the fire of my wrath, and brought their own ways down upon their heads, declares the Sovereign LORD.
20He said: I will hide My face from them; I will see what their end will be, for they are a perverse generation, children in whom there is no faithfulness.
13Because of your unclean behavior and wickedness, though I tried to cleanse you, you would not be clean. You will not be cleansed again until I have satisfied my wrath upon you.
14I, the Lord, have spoken. It will come to pass, and I will act. I will not relent, I will not show pity, nor will I change my mind. According to your ways and your deeds, you will be judged, declares the Lord God.
22But I withdrew my hand and acted for the sake of my name, to keep it from being profaned in the sight of the nations, in whose sight I had brought them out.
23I also swore to them in the wilderness that I would scatter them among the nations and disperse them throughout the lands,
24because they did not carry out my ordinances but rejected my statutes and profaned my Sabbaths, and their eyes were fixed on their fathers' idols.
39therefore I will surely forget you and cast you out of My presence along with the city I gave to you and your fathers.
40I will bring upon you everlasting reproach and perpetual shame that will never be forgotten.
8When they placed their threshold next to my threshold and their doorposts beside my doorposts, with only a wall between me and them, they defiled my holy name by their detestable practices. So I consumed them in my anger.
11Then the house of Israel will no longer stray from me or defile themselves with all their transgressions. They will be my people, and I will be their God, declares the Sovereign LORD.
15I will scatter you among the nations and disperse you throughout the lands, and I will cleanse you from your impurity.
10'But as for me, my eye will not spare, nor will I show pity. I will bring their actions back upon their own heads.'
50They became haughty and committed abominations before me; therefore, I removed them as I saw fit.
21But as for those whose hearts follow their detestable things and their abominations, I will bring their conduct down upon their own heads, declares the Lord God.

14But I acted for the sake of my name, to keep it from being profaned in the eyes of the nations in whose sight I had brought them out.
44Yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject them or abhor them so as to destroy them completely, breaking my covenant with them, for I am the LORD their God.
2But they fail to consider in their hearts that I remember all their evil. Now their deeds surround them; they are before my face.
14I will make you a ruin and a reproach among the nations around you, in the sight of all who pass by.
9Then your survivors will remember Me among the nations where they are taken captive—how I was grieved by their adulterous hearts that turned away from Me, and by their eyes which lusted after their idols. They will loathe themselves for the evil they have done and for all their detestable practices.
11therefore, as surely as I live, declares the Sovereign LORD, I will deal with you according to the anger and jealousy you showed in your hatred against them, and I will make myself known among them when I judge you.
35Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: 'Because you have forgotten me and thrust me behind your back, you must also bear the consequences of your lewdness and prostitution.'
16Therefore say: This is what the Lord God says: Although I have sent them far away among the nations and scattered them among the countries, yet I have been a sanctuary for them for a little while in the lands to which they have gone.
5I assign you the years of their iniquity as the number of days—three hundred ninety days—during which you will bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.
13Bury them together in the dust; bind their faces in the hidden place.
