10 The Lord said to Joshua, "Stand up! Why are you down on your face?
5 Then Joshua said to the people, 'Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the LORD will do amazing things among you.'
6 Joshua told the priests, 'Take up the ark of the covenant and go ahead of the people.' So they took up the ark of the covenant and went ahead of the people.
7 The LORD said to Joshua, 'Today I will begin to exalt you in the sight of all Israel, so that they may know that just as I was with Moses, I will be with you.'
8 'And you are to command the priests who carry the ark of the covenant: When you reach the edge of the waters of the Jordan, stand in the Jordan.'
9 Joshua said to the Israelites, 'Come here and listen to the words of the LORD your God.'
1 When all the people had finished crossing the Jordan, the LORD said to Joshua,
6 Then Joshua tore his clothes and fell face down to the ground before the ark of the Lord, remaining there until evening. The elders of Israel did the same and put dust on their heads.

13 When the feet of the priests who carry the ark of the LORD—the Lord of all the earth—rest in the waters of the Jordan, the water flowing down from upstream will be cut off and will stand in a heap.
5 Exalt the Lord our God, and bow down at His footstool. He is holy.

16 They answered Joshua, saying, “We will do everything you have commanded us, and we will go wherever you send us.
