10The Lord said to Joshua, "Stand up! Why are you down on your face?
8They replied to Joshua, “We are your servants.” But Joshua said to them, “Who are you, and where do you come from?”
9They answered him, “Your servants have come from a very distant land because of the name of the LORD your God. For we have heard of His fame and all He did in Egypt,

6Then Joshua tore his clothes and fell face down to the ground before the ark of the Lord, remaining there until evening. The elders of Israel did the same and put dust on their heads.
7Joshua said, "Alas, Sovereign Lord, why did you bring this people across the Jordan to deliver us into the hands of the Amorites to destroy us? If only we had been content to stay on the other side of the Jordan!
8Pardon me, O Lord, what can I say now that Israel has turned its back and fled from its enemies?
9Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”
10Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people:
1After the death of Moses, the servant of the LORD, the LORD spoke to Joshua, son of Nun, Moses’ assistant, saying:
8And the LORD said to Joshua, “Do not be afraid of them. I have given them into your hand; not one of them will be able to stand against you.”
21But the people said to Joshua, "No! We will serve the LORD.

24When they brought out these kings to Joshua, he summoned all the men of Israel and said to the commanders of the warriors who had gone with him, 'Come forward and put your feet on the necks of these kings.' So they came forward and placed their feet on their necks.
25Then Joshua said to them, 'Do not be afraid or discouraged. Be strong and courageous, for this is what the LORD will do to all the enemies you fight against.'
1The Lord said to Joshua, "Do not be afraid or dismayed. Take all the fighting men with you and go up to Ai. See, I have delivered into your hand the king of Ai, his people, his city, and his land."
23Now then," Joshua said, "put away the foreign gods that are among you, and direct your hearts toward the LORD, the God of Israel.
24The people said to Joshua, "We will serve the LORD our God and obey His voice.
42But the LORD said to me, 'Tell them, "Do not go up or fight, because I am not with you; you will be defeated by your enemies."'
2Joshua called all Israel together—its elders, leaders, judges, and officials—and said to them, 'I have grown old and am well along in years.'
2Then the LORD said to Joshua, 'See, I have delivered Jericho, its king, and its mighty warriors into your hands.'
19Then Joshua said to Achan, "My son, give glory to the Lord, the God of Israel, and give Him praise. Tell me now what you have done; do not hide it from me."

18The LORD said to Moses, "Take Joshua son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit, and lay your hand on him.

3The LORD your God himself will cross ahead of you. He will destroy these nations before you, and you shall take possession of them. Joshua will cross ahead of you, as the LORD has said.
14The Lord turned to him and said, 'Go in the strength you have and save Israel from the hand of Midian. Am I not sending you?'
