31 Then the anger of God rose against them, and He killed the strongest among them, striking down the young men of Israel.
32 Despite all this, they kept on sinning and did not believe in His wondrous works.
24 But they despised the pleasant land; they did not believe His promise.
25 They grumbled in their tents and did not listen to the voice of the LORD.
26 Therefore, He raised His hand against them to make them fall in the wilderness,

3 The Israelites said to them, "If only we had died by the LORD's hand in the land of Egypt, where we sat by pots of meat and ate bread until we were full! But you brought us into this wilderness to kill this entire assembly with hunger."

21 They did not thirst when He led them through the deserts; He made water flow from the rock for them; He split open the rock, and water gushed out.
22 You continued to provoke the LORD to anger at Taberah, at Massah, and at Kibroth Hattaavah.
8 And Moses added, "The LORD will give you meat to eat in the evening and all the bread you want in the morning, because He has heard your complaints against Him. But who are we? Your complaints are not against us but against the LORD."
20 You gave Your good Spirit to instruct them. You did not withhold manna from their mouths, and You provided water for their thirst.
15 He led you through the great and terrifying wilderness, filled with venomous snakes, scorpions, and thirsty ground where there was no water. He brought water for you out of a rock of flint.
16 He fed you manna in the wilderness, which your fathers had never known, to humble and test you so that He might do good for you in the end.
27 You grumbled in your tents and said, 'Because the LORD hates us, He brought us out of the land of Egypt to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites to destroy us.'
2 All the Israelites grumbled against Moses and Aaron, and the whole community said to them, "If only we had died in Egypt or in this wilderness!
22 none of those who saw my glory and the signs I performed in Egypt and in the wilderness, but who disobeyed me and tested me ten times,
24 He rained down manna for them to eat and gave them the grain of heaven.
10 He and Aaron gathered the assembly in front of the rock, and Moses said to them, "Listen now, you rebels! Must we bring water out of this rock for you?"
