6 For this is what the LORD says about the house of the king of Judah: Though you are like Gilead to me, like the peak of Lebanon, yet I will surely make you into a wilderness, uninhabited cities.
5 The inhabitants of Samaria tremble for the calf idol of Beth-aven. Its people will mourn over it, and so will its idolatrous priests, who rejoiced over its glory, because it will be taken from them.
19 How much more those who dwell in houses of clay, whose foundation is in the dust, who are crushed before the moth!
15 I will strike down the winter house along with the summer house, and the houses of ivory will perish, and the great houses will come to an end,” declares the Lord.
17 The Lord will bring upon you, your people, and your father's house a time unlike any since Ephraim separated from Judah—he will bring the king of Assyria.
8 I will attack them like a bear robbed of her cubs; I will tear their hearts open. There I will devour them like a lion; a wild beast will rip them apart.
6 Therefore, this is what the Lord GOD says: As the wood of the vine among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so have I given the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

13 The jealousy of Ephraim will be removed, and the enemies of Judah will be cut off. Ephraim will no longer envy Judah, and Judah will no longer harass Ephraim.
11 For as the waistband clings to the waist of a man, so I made the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah cling to me,' declares the LORD, 'to be my people, my renown, my praise, and my glory. But they would not listen.'
20 Declare this to the house of Jacob and proclaim it in Judah, saying:
12 Therefore, this is what I will do to you, Israel, and because I will do this to you, prepare to meet your God, O Israel.
8 How can I give you up, Ephraim? How can I surrender you, Israel? How can I make you like Admah? How can I treat you like Zeboiim? My heart is changed within Me; My compassion grows warm and tender.
9 They have deeply corrupted themselves, as in the days of Gibeah. He will remember their iniquity; He will punish their sins.
12 As they go, I will spread my net over them; I will bring them down like birds of the sky. I will discipline them as their assembly has heard.
12 Therefore because of you, Zion will be plowed like a field, Jerusalem will become a heap of ruins, and the mountain of the temple will become a high place overgrown with thickets.
