3 Things we have heard and known, which our ancestors have told us.

18 What wise men have declared, and have not hidden from their ancestors,
29 In those days, people will no longer say, 'The fathers ate sour grapes, and the children’s teeth were set on edge.'
8 Do not despise an Edomite, for he is your brother. Do not despise an Egyptian, because you were a foreigner in his land.
2 So that you may fear the LORD your God by keeping all His statutes and commandments that I am commanding you today—you, your children, and your grandchildren—all the days of your life, and so your days may be prolonged.

18 Even when I am old and my hair turns gray, O God, do not forsake me, until I declare your power to the next generation, your mighty acts to all who are to come.

14 In the future, when your son asks you, 'What does this mean?' say to him, 'With a mighty hand, the LORD brought us out of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.
