6They did not ask, ‘Where is the LORD, who brought us up out of Egypt and led us through the wilderness, through a land of deserts and ravines, a land of drought and deep darkness, a land where no one travels and no one lives?’
7I brought you into a fertile land to eat its fruit and its bounty. But you came and defiled my land. You made my inheritance detestable.
20But like a woman unfaithful to her husband, so you, Israel, have been unfaithful to me,' declares the LORD.
21A voice is heard on the barren heights: the weeping and pleading of the people of Israel, because they have perverted their ways and have forgotten the LORD their God.
13Woe to them because they have strayed from me! Destruction to them because they have rebelled against me! I long to redeem them, but they speak lies about me.
25Keep your feet from going bare and your throat from thirst. But you said, ‘It’s hopeless! I love foreigners, and I will follow them.’

7How can I pardon you? Your children have forsaken Me and sworn by false gods. I satisfied them, but they committed adultery and gathered at the houses of prostitutes.
30For you will be like a terebinth whose leaves wither, and like a garden without water.
